Created and painted by hand by Laguna potter Myron Sarracino, this gorgeous, large jar features his recognizable tularosa design along with additional traditional patterns. Myron, who has studied the designs on shards of Old Laguna pottery and endeavors to recreate it, did a sensational job with this piece, while also adding his own personal touches. Black and orange patterns stand out beautifully against the piece’s white backdrop, and patterns include the rounded, spiraling tularosa painted in both solid black and a band of fine lines, as well as additional, rectangular whirlwind patterns, step designs, and geometric patterns. Fine lines, most often representing rain, provide a beautiful accompaniment to the larger overall pattern of the jar. 9 1/4 tall x 8 1/2″ wide.
