Zuni silversmith Edmund Cooeyate, with hands so large it’s hard to believe he cuts and handles such delicate stones, created this stunning cuff bracelet featuring predominantly Sleeping Beauty turquoise needlepoint stones. The center of the cuff features a modified rosette, with larger Sleeping Beauty stones, one round and two elongated in the middle, each surrounded by a thin sterling rope pattern. The grouping of stones is also surrounded by a sterling rope pattern, followed by a row of domed sterling silver panels and another sterling rope pattern. Bordering this final rope pattern is a row of beautiful needlepoitn stones, each separated along the perimter with appliqued sterling silver dots. The modified rosette is bordered on each side by a sterling panel featuring many of the same accents as the cuff’s centerpiece, including rope patterns and domed panels, along with a row of turquoise needlepoint stones. Stones and silverwork are set on a thrice split sterling silver shank that merges at each end. 2 1/4″ long x 2 3/8″ wide. Inner end to end measurement is 5 1/4″ with a 1 1/16″ opening. Total cuff measurement including gap is 6 3/8.” and cuff is very slightly adjustable.
