The maiden is painted with an expressive face, her mouth open and eyes wide, along with rosy cheeks. Her head is surrounded by a traditional tableta, painted in turquoise, red, and black, while a turquoise necklace adorns her neck, finished with a shell pendant painted in turquoise, black, and white. The maiden’s body features red and black corn kernels, while the entire body is encased in a buff corn husk, painted in black with whirlwind and step patterns. 11″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide.
