Description
Showcasing various traditional hand painted patterns, this incredible olla was created by Acoma potter David Antonio. The polychrome piece, featuring black, white, orange, and red hues, takes on a wide, large shape and is painted in a checkerboard pattern along the rim and just above the inflection in black and red. Plant designs separate each checkerboard band, while orange and black flower patterns, pained on a diagonal, are separated by step patterns along the bottom portion of the piece. 11″ tall x 11 1/2″ wide.
