Hand carved by Navajo artist Victor Abeita, this beautiful kachina depicts the recognizable sunface, which represents warmth, shelter for the old, bright future, and playfulness for the young.  The face of the piece is painted in lovely turquoise, red, and yellow hues along with black accents, while the face is surrounded by brown and back feathers, and the head and shoulders covered in brown fur.  The kachina holds a brown feather in each hand, and its lower half is covered in brown leather showcasing a single turquoise piece at the waist and painted in turquoise, yellow, and red geometric designs. Its arms showcas brown leather accents with orange, blue, an red beads, while the feet are covered in brown leather, and the wrists dotted with turquoise along brown leather.12 3/4″ tall x 6″ wide.
